We’re often asked, “what is Watershed and how does it work?” Here is the long and short of it. Watershed is a community-focused shared space with tailored memberships for small businesses, co-workers, work-from-homers, artists, performers and one-off events. Watershed members benefit from marketing and promotional support and discounts on booking space monthly. Community members are also invited to reserve space A La Carte without the additional member benefits.
Our members and community partners have booked space at Watershed for all sorts of events, workshops, trainings and other family-fun activities. Below are a few examples of how the space has been used.
Gypsy Green Design Art Episodes
Our member, Gypsy Green Design hosts Art Episodes in The Garage. These are fun art workshops where community members learn to weave, collage techniques, mask making and other fun ways to explore your creativity. WildStone Ceramics also hosts pottery painting workshops for families.
7083 Printing Co. Pop-Up Shops
Our member, 7083 Printing Co. has hosted pop-up shops in The Storefront selling one-of-a-kind t-shirst that she screen-prints herself. She sells wood ornaments and original artwork prints. Our members have had great success hosting pop-up shops in The Storefront with access to Main Street foot traffic, collaborating with other vendors and the ability to set-up The Storefront to best fit their needs. New this summer, The Sheds will be available outdoors during Homestead Days for people to vend their products.
BVEC Outdoor Family-Friendly Events
Our member and community partner, Buena Vista Event Cooperative hosts events on The Stage throughout the summer. Everything from live music, puppet shows, kids theatre and the Salida Circus, just to name a few. During Homestead Days this summer, BVEC events will be accompanied by vendors selling their products in The Sheds, Watershed open mic, outdoor family-friendly movies, local libations, The Bearded Lady food truck and indoor workshops and trainings.
A La Carte Workshops, Events & Trainings
Community members often reserve space at Watershed for A La Carte bookings. Buena Vista Mountain Adventures and The Trailhead reserved The Garage for a free avalanche awareness class during BV Backcountry Day. The Trailhead has also been a community partner during 14’er Fest, booking Watershed for workshops, check-in location and local libations in our outdoor area. We have also hosted a free homebuyer workshop, CPR/First-Aid training and business webinars at Watershed.
Promote your business, share your expertise, perform or simply co-work from Watershed. It truly is a community-focused shared space with plenty of room for all! For more information connect with us at [email protected].
